Famous Actors Who Have Narrated Books on Audible

Who hasn't fallen for Tom Hiddleston or Benedict Cumberbatch at some point in their lives? I just can't help but swoon when either of them speaks! Maybe its because I'm American and they're both so British. Regardless, discovering their narration of audiobooks made one happy bibliophile ...
A year ago it was brought to my attention that Audible has beaucoup novels narrated by some of my favorite celebrities. I quickly started stockpiling narrated novels like it was my job.

Therefor! I've compiled a few audiobooks that were narrated by popular stars that I really enjoyed:

1. Dracula by Bram Stoker narrated by David Suchet & Tom Hiddleston
Dark, mysterious, and classic. Stoker's novel has never sounded more hauntingly beautiful than with Suchet & Hiddleston behind the mic.

2. The Order of Time by Carlo Rovelli narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch
Mr. Cumberbatch made it twice on this list in part because his consistency never falters and also because a large part of his allure is his incredible voice. The man knows how to connect with his audience and animate Rovelli's already thought-provoking novel on the essence of time.

3. Casanova by Giacomo Casanova narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch
Is he the perfect Casanova? Possibly. For those of us who are die-hard Sherlock fans, anything with Benedict Cumberbatch is worth a listen. I enjoyed his suave rendition in this romantic classic.

4. Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle narrated by Alan Cumming
No one quite understands dramatic pause and perfect timing like Alan Cumming. I always tend to enjoy his movies, so I didn't hesitate to listen to an Audiobook narrated by him.

5. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen narrated by Rosamund Pike
Perhaps I'm biased (the 2004 movie still ranks on my list of top 3 favorite Keira Knightly movies of all time), but I can hear homage to Knightley's Elizabeth in this adaptation. The beautiful accents combined with incredible storytelling makes this a must-listen

6. Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen Narrated by Rosamund Pike
After listening to Pride & Prejudice,  I was very quick to purchase another Jane Austen narrated by Rosamund..

7. Girls & Boys by Dennis Kelly performed by Carey Mulligan
Mulligan's performance is honestly breathtaking. My only previous exposure to her was as Daisy in the 2013 adaptation of The Great Gatsby, so I was wholly unprepared for such a cynical character that Mulligan brings to life. A forewarning: this play takes a really dark turn.

8. Emma by Jane Austen (brand new to audible!)
I haven't listened to this rendition yet, but it's next in my queue! I added this to my library faster than you can say, bibliophile. It contains a cast of amazing celebrities; Emma Thompson, Joanne Froggatt, Isabella Inchbald, Aisling Loftus, Joseph Millson, Morgana Robinson.

There are so many great audiobooks on the market that it was hard to pick only a few! If you have any that I may have missed, leave your recommendations in the comments below.

Happy Listening!
